Working in the woods, making trails, building bridges, cleaning up dead trees and having the nicest firewood pile in Benton and Pope counties was where he found his joy. Just don’t burn too much wood at once because “there’s a lot of darn work that goes into making firewood! ” Ron may be gone, but these memories will live in our hearts forever. He left his mark on so many things and on so many people.

Steve also was a zamboni Ddiver at the Municipal Athletic Complex and worked in the pharmacy at Coborn’s. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bishop Zardetti Knights of Columbus Council 5548 of St. Cloud, Waite Park American Legion Post 428 Color Guard, and St. Cloud Jaycees where he was the 50th president. Steve enjoyed playing softball, fishing, playing cards, golfing, shaking dice, spending time at the cabin and especially enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles.

Jim and Irene moved to Little Rock Lake after retirement and joined Annunciation Parish in Mayhew Lake where Jim’s father and grandfather grew up and his great grandparents are buried in the first row of the parish cemetery. Jim began his years of volunteering at the St. Cloud Hospital, following in the footsteps of his mother.

Betty will always be remembered for her quiet, gentle yet authoritative presence. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Vivian in 1973 and their baby George; his wife Betty, on June 29, 2022; his siblings, Anastasia, Frank, John, Richard and his half-brother, Jack. After attending a typical one-room country school, where one teacher taught eight grades , she attended public school in Sauk Rapids, and graduated in 1960. Sharon was immediately hired by Quinlivan, Quinlivan & Quinlivan, attorneys-at-law, in St. Cloud. During her lifetime she held many job positions, including working side-by-side with her husband, Henry.

Tom and Geri moved back to Minnesota where they raised their 14 children. Tom worked in silver mines, building dams, excavating, and plumbing throughout his life. Tom was always proud of the legacy he created with sons, grandsons and great-grandsons following in his footsteps to become plumbers. Mass of Christian Burial was July 26 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake for Douglas W. Gravelle, Sr., age 70, who passed away July 19, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Thomas Knoblach officiated and burial was at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.

Roger had a great sense of humor, was a great joke teller and always got a good bargain at garage sales. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister. Mary was born at home July 19, 1942, to Anthony and Veronica Robatcek. Mary attended and graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. She married Richard “Rich” Trettel Sept. 16, 1963, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell.

Hennessy, age 73, who passed away July 17, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Thomas Knoblach officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church. Parish prayers were Wednesday at the funeral home.

Their 60 years of marriage created four children , 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with number eight arriving in October. Sandy was born Nov. 16, 1942, in Fergus Falls to Arthur and Selma Hanson. She married Jerome Dahlager Dec. 27, 1964, in Rothsay. Sandy lived in the St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids area and was an elementary teacher for District 742 for 22 years, retiring in 2002.
