Saturday, Dec. 3, at Graham United Methodist Church in rural Rice for Benedith “Bean” A. Mager, age 71, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Nov. 27, 2022, at her home. The Rev. Ric Koehn will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church.

Koenig , who passed away on December 6, 2022 at the age of 70.

Ann Marie L.Maurer

Ann was born Feb. 2, 1930, in St. Cloud to Michael and Anna Baron. She married Dennis Maurer Oct. 18, 1952, at Sacred Heart Church and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage together. The couple lived in Mayhew Lake and wintered in Arizona from 1982 to 1990. She was an executive secretary for Liberty Savings and Loan for 39 years, retiring in 1990. She then worked as a corporate secretary and treasurer for Wells Fargo for 11 years, before officially retiring in 2004.

He enjoyed camping, boating, collecting agates with his family, and traveling. Bill had a great sense of humor, a big heart, and could fix anything. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. Oct. 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids for Margaret “Peggy” L. Smolnik, age 76, who passed away Oct. 17, 2022, at the Estates of Greeley in Stillwater.

Steve also was a zamboni Ddiver at the Municipal Athletic Complex and worked in the pharmacy at Coborn’s. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bishop Zardetti Knights of Columbus Council 5548 of St. Cloud, Waite Park American Legion Post 428 Color Guard, and St. Cloud Jaycees where he was the 50th president. Steve enjoyed playing softball, fishing, playing cards, golfing, shaking dice, spending time at the cabin and especially enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles.

Tom and Geri moved back to Minnesota where they raised their 14 children. Tom worked in silver mines, building dams, excavating, and plumbing throughout his life. Tom was always proud of the legacy he created with sons, grandsons and great-grandsons following in his footsteps to become plumbers. Mass of Christian Burial was July 26 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake for Douglas W. Gravelle, Sr., age 70, who passed away July 19, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Thomas Knoblach officiated and burial was at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.

Family was very important to her and spending time with her grandchildren was always cherished time. Betty was outgoing, adventurous, caring and giving. She was the kindest soul and could always be depended on by others.

He retired from Sauk Rapids-Rice Schools as an elementary custodian in 2018. Memorial contributions in Sharon’s memory can be directed to the Bethlehem Lutheran School or the Sierra Lutheran High School both in Carson City, NV or to a charity of your choice. Sharon Viola Wentzlaff, passed away Aug. 28, 2022, in Carson City, Nevada. She was born at the St. Cloud Hospital, in St. Cloud, Dec. 30, 1942, to Leona Leyk and August Leyk.

Betty will always be remembered for her quiet, gentle yet authoritative presence. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Vivian in 1973 and their baby George; his wife Betty, on June 29, 2022; his siblings, Anastasia, Frank, John, Richard and his half-brother, Jack. Oct. 31 at Graham United Methodist in Rice for Millie Kay Folkens who passed away Oct. 26, 2022, at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis surrounded by her loving family. Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to service at the church Monday. Rich’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the love and support during this difficult time and for the care provided by the staff at Quiet Oaks and St. Croix Hospice. Nov. 21 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Keith R. Kraemer, age 59, who passed away Nov. 11, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

His mother died when he was a year old, and his father remarried and moved, leaving Arthur and his siblings, Anastasia, Frank, John and Richard behind. Arthur was taken in by a neighbor, where he lived until eighth grade when he headed to Texas by train to work on a ranch. He later returned to Minnesota to care for his brother after he was injured during World War II, and then he left for North Dakota to work on a ranch until the Korean War.

Anna Mae is survived by her sons, Randy and Gary both of Sauk Rapids; and sisters, Gladys Payne of Monticello, Iowa, Irene Nickels of Anamosa, Iowa, Lucille Swanson of Frankfort, Kansas, and Janet McAler of Arvada, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John on Nov. 23, 2013; son, Michael in July 1970; and brother, Leonard. Roy was born April 11, 1933, in Winnebago, Nebraska, to Roy and Ethol Robinson, Sr. He married Joanne Ruff July 3, 1954, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Roy lived in the St. Cloud area most of his life and worked as an inspector for Frigidaire/Electrolux for 46 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and an active member of the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers Local 623.

Jim was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where he was very involved and served as president of the parish council for years. He enjoyed rebuilding antique tractors, tractor auctions, vacations, pool parties in the stock tank, teaching and mentoring his children, and spending time with family. Jim was determined, the life of the party, larger than life and a great handyman.

Roger was born in St. Cloud to Alois and Josephine Delles. He graduated from Rocori High School and entered the Army. After serving in the Army, he graduated from St. Cloud Business College. Paul Airport before returning to St. Cloud to work as an auto and truck mechanic for 20 years.

Sharing 66 years with Math, they enjoyed winters in Arizona, spear fishing on Lake Winnibigoshish, flower and vegetable gardening, and coffee and wine time with friends and neighbors. Geri passed away in 1993, after which he met and married the second love of his life, Dorothy Kloster, on March 2, 1996. Tom enjoyed tractors, guns, hunting, playing guitar and, most of all, spending time with his family. Tom will be remembered for his great sense of humor, strong faith, kindness and dedication to his family. Larry was born March 11, 1949, in St. Cloud to Lawrence and Philomenia “Philly” Hennessy.

The Rev.Brady Finnern will officiate and burial will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sauk Rapids. Bonnie Jean Popp, age 70, Rice, passed away at her home July 10, 2022, after a short battle with Parkinson’s disease. Bonnie, the daughter of Lester Volkl and Dorothy Pappenfus, was born Dec. 17, 1951, in Brainerd. Bonnie was known for her witty humor and being a top notch second basewoman in addition to her love of sunflowers, almond M&M’s, dogs, Panama City Beach, Florida, and her family. Bonnie enjoyed working at the St. Cloud Hospital prior to retirement.
